The original photo comes from a camera found on the sidewalk in Seattle. From studying the photos it was determined that the photo was taken somewhere in Southeast Asia, date unknown.
Centering the original photograph in the middle of the scarf then repeating and stretching a small strip along the edge creates a lacelike effect, differentiated on either end of the scarf.
The original color image is used mixed with a black and white version leaving some parts of the scarf with bold color and others a faded softness.
